Salary: £45-£52,000 Dependent on experience
Our client, a RIBA Chartered practice, is seeking a skilled Conservation Architect to join their friendly and sociable medium-sized team. Based in a stylish office with excellent transport links, the practice specialises in a diverse range of projects, with particular emphasis on Conservation, Housing, Education, and Commercial sectors.
This role offers the opportunity to work on heritage and conservation projects that blend architectural excellence with a passion for preserving historical integrity. Skills, Experience & Responsibilities for the Role of Conservation Architect:
ARB-registered, with several years of post-Part 3 experience.
Demonstrable expertise in conservation architecture, including working on listed buildings and heritage sites.
Strong design flair paired with solid technical capabilities.
Ability to manage projects across all RIBA stages, with a particular focus on Conservation and RIBA Stage 5 execution.
Provide input on critical project decisions in collaboration with Directors.
Experience with building condition assessments, conservation plans, and liaising with heritage bodies (e.g., Historic England).
Mentor and support junior staff members, sharing expertise in conservation techniques and principles.
Strong time management skills to deliver projects to high standards within deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in preparing design and technical reports.
Local to North Hampshire/Reading or willing to relocate.
