We currently have a great opportunity for a Registered Staff Nurse to join our Care Plus team at The Sandford Nursing Home, Church Stretton, Shropshire on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Sandford Nursing Home is a place our residents call home. We’re looking for a dedicated professional to bring our values to life and ensure our customers receive outstanding services.

The Role

As a Registered Staff Nurse, you will work and lead within the Nursing Home team, assisting elderly residents with normal activities of daily living, promoting independence and maintaining their dignity and respect. You will provide leadership in the care of people with complex needs and through effective communication, our residents receive a person-centred and holistic review of their individual needs and preferences.

You will administer medications as prescribed, following correct procedures and equipment, and assist in implementation of care plans, re-assessments and reviews. You will liaise with the G.P and other health care professionals as and when necessary to ensure the health needs of residents are identified and met whilst maintaining confidentiality regarding all aspects of care and management of the home.

Skills and experience required:

* NMC Professional Registration and active PIN

* The ability to work with in a team and independently.

* Previous experience in providing a quality care service for people

* A commitment to delivering quality care to vulnerable adults

* Excellent verbal, written and face-to-face communication skills

* Caring attitude with desire to help and support others

* Care home experience is advantageous but not essential

* Able to commute within no more than 1 hour distance of the role location

Due to the nature of this post, the role is subject to an Enhanced with Adult Barred DBS disclosure.
