Red Snapper Recruitment are recruiting for Control Room Operatives on behalf of a local authority in the midlands.
Location: 1 Lancaster Circus (Birmingham)
Contract: 3-month temp, starting in January 2025
Pay rate: £12.19 per hour PAYE
Shifts: You will be required to work a shift system working days/nights throughout the week including weekends and Bank Holidays, 365 days a year.
Job Purpose
To provide a professional and effective public CCTV/Door entry monitoring service working closely with the Mobile Patrol Officers and Night Time Security Service Supervisors, helping to provide safe, clean and secure neighbourhoods across the city of Birmingham.
You will be required to operate CCTV and door entry systems of communal areas/multi-storey blocks and other properties within the neighbourhoods of the city Of Birmingham.
As an operator you will be required to respond to enquiries from our customers and direct a response team to investigate. You will also handle any issues that are escalated form the Mobile Patrol Officers.
Main duties and responsibilities
* You will be required to operate CCTV and door entry systems in accordance with Birmingham City Council’s code of practice.
* You will be required to assist the public in a polite, helpful manner and will maintain the safety/security of all blocks within the city of Birmingham.
* Respond to calls of Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) or any breaches of tenancy, by initially investigating, recording findings and forwarding to a Mobile Patrol Officer team, directing them in line with an agreed escalation process for further action.
* Contact the Police and any other appropriate agencies on detailed incidents or case conferences.
* Assist the Night Time Security Supervisor in managing the Mobile Patrol Teams.
Person Specification
* The applicant must have a Security Industry Authority accreditations by possessing either a
* Sia Security Officer Licence
* Sia Door Supervisor Licence
* Sia CCTV Licence
* Experience of working in the security industry.
* Experience of working with customers/members of the public on a face to face basis.
* Experience of dealing with difficult situations in a sensitive manner.
* Experience of operating computer systems running Windows 2000 or similar.
