Main Job Purpose
We are seeking Senior Site Supervisors/Engineers (Working) to work alongside our existing team to complete Electrical, Mechanical, Civil and Structural engineering surveys & minor works installation, guided by the expertise of our engineering team. The individuals will have a focus on growth, quality output and is highly organised and practical. Health and Safety will be at the forefront of decision making and planning.
Working with our team of Senior Engineers and Directors you will be supporting our next stage of growth, supporting the existing survey team members and training new members once experienced with our survey process, growing in your role with a clear path into leading our survey and installation teams as the business develops.
UK wide, ideally based in South East / South West Regions
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Whilst the responsibilities and accountabilities covers a broad range of engineering disciplines, we would be interested in hearing from you even if you have past experience covering a specific engineering discipline.
· Undertake detailed mechanical, electrical & civils site surveys & installation in line with current industry and / or environmental standards, for example, concrete coring, testing and reinforcement scanning. Masonry coring, strength testing and fracture monitoring. Trial pits and WAC testing. CCTV surveys and dye testing for drainage routes, ducts, and containment. Structural surveys and reports (bridges, columns, station canopies etc) with access solutions provided in-house. Hidden critical element surveys (HCE) and reinstatement. Percolation testing and soakaway design.
· Produce reports following legislation, standards, quality assurance and company administration policies and procedures.
· Undertake electrical installation testing and/or commissioning for small to medium scale projects in the rail environment.
· Work collaboratively and as part of the survey and installation team to support the Crayside team objectives including support and implementation of company & technical standards in line with survey and design deliverables.
· Communicate efficiently and effectively both internally and externally with company directors, team managers, peers, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current mechanical, electrical, civils & railway standards and legislation.
· Ability to prepare survey schedules, sometimes within tight deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy and quality.
· Support the company objectives and compliance towards health and safety, quality, and environmental requirements, following current legislation, standards, quality assurance, company administration policies and procedures.
· Proficient & conversant in Office 365 and basic knowledge and capability to operate CAD resources where required to assist in development of layout drawings and schematics will be beneficial.
· Maintain a flexible approach towards travel and working hours, particularly in the rail environment where line blocks, night work and a reactive approach towards objectives and deliverables maybe required.
· Carrying out and supporting successful completion of internal & external audits by adhering to company policies, processes, instruction and guidance from the compliance department.
Minimum Competencies Required
· 3D Laser scanning / Point Cloud Processing (preferrable)
· Obtain / Maintain PTS certification.
· Obtain /Maintain CSCS certification.
· Cat & Genny Operator.
· Pasma User.
· IPAF User.
· Knowledge & use of AutoCAD to produce survey drawings and schematics would be beneficial.
· Electrical qualification will be beneficial, but not mandatory.
Required Previous Experience
· 10+ years’ mechanical, electrical, civils or structural experience, ideally within the Rail sector.
· Previous installation, testing and commissioning experience would be beneficial, including PAT testing.
· Full clean UK driving licence is a must
