Our design function is made up of various project teams who shape, design and develop our well-loved and iconic motorcycles. Successful applicants will be key in the design of our motorcycle components across all model ranges for Triumph's OE and Racing purposes.
We are currently looking for Area Lead Engineers to take responsibility for the delivery of the Design and Development of a wide range of components or areas of a motorcycle. Ensuring that this range of components or areas are delivered to the time, cost, quality, and specification constraints.
The role is a highly technical role, focused on detail and delivery, but also includes planning and leadership in instances where there are Package & Design/Senior Design Engineers reporting to the Area Lead.
As an Area Lead Engineer we are looking for candidates who are educated to degree level and have gained the following experience;
* Experience of planning and monitoring progress against plans, leading a team, and able to constructively raise concerns and propose solutions
* Proven ability to give constructive feedback to individuals in the team to allow them to grow and develop
* Proven experience of meeting targets and delivering on projects, able to demonstrate urgency
* Demonstrates good commercial awareness and understanding of the consequence of Design activities on all areas of the business
* Highly technical approach, with emphasis on attention to detail
* A high level of technical judgement and decision-making skills to allow navigation/direction of complex problems to present concise information to all stakeholders
* Good collaborator and communicator providing transparency of risk and issues throughout the project lifecycle and within the team
* Agile and flexible that leads to an ability and willingness to adapt and take on difficult and challenging tasks and changes of direction in a practical and pragmatic manner
