Job Description

Job Title: Project Manager (Security Cleared) - Enterprise Technology Implementation

Location: Berkshire, 2-3 days per week on site

Duration: Permanent or fixed term contract

Start: Jan 2025

At Pace, our consultants genuinely care about the impact our work has on our customers and their customers alike. We are ‘problem solvers’ who call on our collective experience, knowledge and skills to support customers to access benefits early.

Our mission is to create environments that thrive for our customers; we enable this by providing transformation, process optimisation, and automation services, all with the aim of enabling our customers to harness human autonomy.

Who we are:
We’re a boutique management consultancy with a difference. We're values-driven and passionate about creating a supportive, open culture. Our team is tight-knit, diverse, and committed to delivering outcomes without losing sight of the human touch. We believe in being open, thinking differently, taking ownership, and having fun, and we want these values to shine through in everything we do.

We are reimagining how transformation services are delivered, taking a human-centered approach, and our work is having a material impact on people's lives. If this resonates with you, we would love to hear from you.

Role:

***Please note that any offer is subject to BPSS clearance and eligibility for security clearance – existing SC status is unfortunately invalid for this role.***

As a Security Cleared Project Manager, you will lead on one of three project delivery workstreams in a secure government organisation as part of an enterprise technology implementation. You will closely support the Pace Programme Manager and engage directly with our client stakeholders as a trusted delivery partner. You will collaborate with consultants, clients, and stakeholders, providing essential support to keep projects on track, on time, and within scope.

What you’ll do:

*

Oversee and drive the successful delivery of projects focused on enterprise technology platforms, including Primavera P6, ARM (Active Risk Management) and other learning management and cost management systems. Experience in any of these areas is highly advantageous.

*

Take responsibility of the project during a critical phase, ensuring timely delivery, budget control, and quality outcomes to get the project over the line.

*

Collaborate closely with client stakeholders, Pace team members, and third-party vendors to foster effective communication and alignment.

*

Identify, monitor, and mitigate project risks and issues while managing change control processes to maintain project integrity.

*

Provide leadership and direction throughout project execution, ensuring successful system integration and client satisfaction.

*

Ensure compliance with government regulations, security requirements, and organisational standards throughout the project lifecycle.

The successful Project Manager will be able to demonstrate:

*

Proven experience delivering large, complex enterprise technology projects, ideally within central government organisations requiring security clearance.

*

Subject matter expertise in enterprise technology platforms such as Primavera P6, ARM, and other learning, cost management and risk management tools.

*

Ability to adapt quickly and take control of a project mid-flight while ensuring minimal disruption.

*

Excellent stakeholder management skills, including the ability to engage and influence senior-level stakeholders in government settings.

*

Familiarity with government security requirements and compliance standards.

*

Relevant certifications, such as PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent, with experience in both agile and waterfall methodologies.

What’s in it for you?

*

An opportunity to join a high-growth, scale-up consulting firm; we see an opportunity to make a material difference to how clients are served, and are on a mission to create environments that thrive for our clients.

*

A dedicated focus on your individual personal development: managed through annual performance appraisals, individual personal development plans, and our bi-weekly ‘continuous conversations’ programme.

*

Additional professional development is available through a personal training budget (subject to approval of a relevant business case)

A competitive salary plus additional benefits including:

*

25 days’ annual leave, plus an additional days’ leave for your birthday

*

Annual leave purchase: buy up to 10 additional days of leave per annum

*

Reservist leave: up to 10 days of paid leave to fulfil reservist commitments

*

Private health insurance

*

AVIVA workplace pension scheme

*

AIG life assurance

*

Save 30-60% on an electric car through The Electric Car Scheme
