Job Description
We are looking for a Compliance Officer to join us. The role offers an exciting opportunity to drive compliance excellence in a growing environment, supporting the business in meeting regulatory standards.
The Compliance department is an enabler for our business. They are trusted partners that provide pragmatic advice, support and challenge, to ensure our business can deliver on their objectives.
As a Compliance Officer you will support the delivery of the compliance frameworks and continuous improvement in the quality of first line controls.
Reporting to the Head of Compliance Advice and Operations, the role involves:
* Advising the business on regulatory requirements.
* Creating and delivering regulatory compliance training sessions to a range of stakeholders.
* Horizon-scanning to identify and assess any emerging regulatory change that the business should consider in its long-term decision-making.
* Support the business in the implementation of regulatory change, conducting gap analyses and supporting the development of project plans.
* Supporting the development and implementation of the Senior Managers and Certification Regime and Financial Crime frameworks.
* Authorship of policies and processes covered by the compliance frameworks, ensuring that these remain appropriate to the size and complexity of the business
* Supporting the production of compliance reporting and Management Information to relevant committees.
* Promoting a proactive approach to the identification, assessment and management of regulatory risks and incidents.
About you:
We are keen to hear from candidates with previous experience of delivering compliance support in a financial services environment. You’ll also have knowledge and understanding of relevant financial services regulation and legislation.
Other key requirements include:
* Excellent communication skills, the ability to build relationships and deliver effective written and verbal communication to a range of stakeholders.
* Analytical and research skills, the ability to interpret rules and guidance and support the business in understanding the spirit of the regulation.
* Resilience and excellent organisational skills, the ability to manage competing priorities with a strong focus on delivering.
* A passion for supporting the business in achieving its goals.
