About the Role:
Hunter AHP is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist to join a well-established NHS hospital in Sussex. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced pharmacist to contribute to a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced hospital environment, providing expert clinical pharmacy services to ensure the safe and effective use of medicines for patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive medication reviews on the wards to ensure the safe and effective use of medicines.
Provide clinical support to medical and nursing staff regarding drug therapy and patient care.
Participate in ward rounds, advising the healthcare team on pharmacological issues.
Contribute to the development and implementation of medication protocols and guidelines.
Monitor and manage the therapeutic use of drugs in patients, ensuring positive clinical outcomes.
Provide training and support to junior staff and other healthcare professionals.
Liaise with patients, offering medication counselling and information to improve adherence.
Essential Requirements:
Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
Experience working as a Clinical Pharmacist in an NHS hospital setting.
Strong clinical knowledge and experience in medication management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
