About the Role:

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you’ll be an integral part of the team, working closely with senior quantity surveyors and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Your role will involve supporting cost management, procurement processes, and contract administration on exciting construction projects in the utilities sector.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare cost estimates and project budgets.

* Monitor project costs and track expenditures.

* Support the tendering process, including bid analysis and subcontractor evaluations.

* Assist in negotiating and managing contracts.

* Prepare interim and final valuations for payment certifications.

* Measure and quantify work for valuations.

* Collaborate with project managers to optimize project costs.

* Monitor risks and implement mitigation strategies.

What You’ll Bring:

* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.

* Experience: Prior experience or internships in a similar role are advantageous.

* Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, numerical aptitude, and attention to detail.
