Job Description

ROLE – Chemical Engineer      

SALARY - £30,000- £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)    

TYPE – Permanent    

LOCATION – West Berkshire (hybrid / remote working is available)     

My client designs and manufactures specialist equipment for process industries. They are looking for a Chemical Process Engineer to join their team in West Berkshire on a permanent basis.    

The Chemical Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
At least 1-2 years’ relevant experience in a manufacturing environment 
Strong Design skills with the ability to design new processes
Ideally be Degree qualified in a Chemical discipline 
Knowledge of / experienced with thermal processes
Strong Project Management skills
Understands 2D and 3D CAD
Excellent problem-solving skills 
Proven ability to take a leadership role and motivate others
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team   
Responsibilities include:
Solving problems and improving engineering processes
Being involved in designing, implementing and overseeing project plans  
Liaising with other departments to manage such projects 
Ensuring quality and H&S standards are met 
Running trials and experiments in an R&D environment 
Design equipment layouts 
Maintaining technical documentation as required 
Keeping up to date with reports and developments in inorganic chemistry 
Pushing for constant progression for product development and manufacturing techniques
