Becky at JT Recruit is working in partnership with a local authority in Derby who is looking for someone to join the team on a temporary basis, starting January 2025.
About the Role:
At Milestone House, they are dedicated in providing a safe and supportive environment for homeless individuals, including rough sleepers. As a Milestone House Officer, you’ll play a vital role in guiding the residents toward a brighter future by helping them transition to secure, permanent housing.
You’ll work as part of a friendly and committed team, delivering compassionate support, tailored advice, and practical assistance. From helping with life skills and financial management to creating personalized support plans, you’ll empower our residents to rebuild their lives and achieve their goals.
What You’ll Do:
* Build trust and rapport with residents, offering motivation and crisis intervention.
* Support residents in developing life skills, from budgeting to self-management.
* Collaborate with partners and agencies to create opportunities for recovery, training, and housing.
* Advocate for residents, ensuring they have access to the resources they need.
* Be a champion of cleanliness and safety, creating a welcoming space for all.
