Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Glasgow
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Join a dynamic global engineering firm leading the way in water sector projects! Our client is expanding their commercial team in Scotland and seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join them in Glasgow. A background in the water industry is advantageous!
Responsibilities:
Administering the commercial and financial aspects of projects on a daily basis.
Maintaining close communication with Project Management Teams.
Compiling Cost and Value reports.
Generating reports on commercial performance.
Overseeing procurement, including labour, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
Providing guidance and supervision to junior team members.
Compiling monthly commercial performance reports for review by the Commercial Manager.
Implementing cost control measures.
Requirements:
Hold a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
Have experience working on fast-paced, high-volume projects.
Ideally, have prior experience in water projects.
Possess strong skills in commercial management and subcontractor procurement.
Demonstrated familiarity with NEC contracts.
Ability to manage risks and opportunities.
Ability to accurately and efficiently work with large amounts of data.
Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel.
Showcase excellent interpersonal and negotiation abilities.
Must have excellent attention to detail.
