I am on the lookout for a technically adept Civil Engineer with expertise in reinforced concrete. Our client, a leading civil engineering subcontractor, is seeking a proactive Freelance Site Engineer to join their team on a high-profile project in the heart of Huddersfield.

THE ROLE:
As the Freelance Site Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering technical and engineering support on a large-scale project. Your focus will be on reinforced concrete works, ensuring precision, quality, and adherence to project specifications and timelines.

DUTIES:
• Perform accurate setting out and surveying for reinforced concrete structures.
• Collaborate with project and site teams to resolve engineering challenges.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with technical drawings and specifications.
• Oversee and manage quality assurance processes related to RC works.
• Maintain detailed site records, reports, and as-built documentation.
• Contribute to health and safety planning and enforce safe working practices.
• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to support smooth project delivery.

REQUIREMENT:
• Proven experience as a Site Engineer on projects involving reinforced concrete.
• Strong technical understanding of RC works, construction methodologies, and materials.
• Proficient in setting out using Total Station, and related equipment.
• Civil Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
• CSCS is essential
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
