We have a fantastic opportunity to join the education team at HMYOI Wetherby as the Business Manager on a permanent, full-time basis, working 37 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
Accurate and prompt monitoring, reporting and analysis of all quality, funding and compliance
activity: review and report monthly the contract compliance and budget spend with the Head of Education.
Accurate and prompt reporting of data required by business partners' and stakeholders in line with the contract requirements.
Early identification of any slippage, taking initiative-taking and prompt action to ensure all funding, quality and performance activity remains 'on track' against contractual requirements.
Accurate recording, monitoring and reporting on all staff absence, CPD, quality measures and annual leave.
Manage the procurement process in line with financial regulations.
Training of new and existing staff on administration processes, documents and local data recording software.
Ensure ICT matters are reported and logged to ensure the smooth running of the delivery of education.
Collaborative partnership working with the Performance Manager to ensure correct and timely returns.
Report on staff deployment figures every month to Curriculum Leaders.
Ensure the safeguarding of learners.
Undertake regular system checks to ensure internal and external audit requirements are being met including undertaking right data validation checks to ensure accuracy.
Maintain the security of all auditable evidence.
Ensure all examination procedures are administered correctly.
Positive and collaborative working relationships with all business partners and stakeholders.
Initiative-taking and constructive contribution to the establishment's meetings and planning processes.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and security requirements.
Effective day to day planning and management of staff and resources.
Recruit, develop and support a flexible, qualified and experienced administration team.
Day to day management of administration team in line with Novus policies and procedures, consulting with HR Advisor, as necessary.
Engage in annual appraisal process and performance improvement practices individually and manage with direct reports.
Support the induction and mentoring of new starters.

Qualifications, Skills, Experience
Hold a minimum level 3 qualification in, or related to, business administration.
Record of effective and efficient administration within a busy office environment.

Record of effectively managing a team in an office environment.
Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
Hold qualifications at level 2 in literacy and numeracy.
