Job Description

Key Responsibilities

– Ensure daily operational and re-work requirements consistently meet customer expectations.

– Promote and enforce Health & Safety compliance within the operation.

– Manage team training plans, performance, and progression.

– Collaborate with HR on disciplinary and review meetings.

– Enforce site systems and procedures to ensure compliance.

– Monitor and plan logistics and warehouse operations.

– Maintain exceptional levels of customer service.

– Support stock integrity management alongside the Site Manager.

– Uphold high housekeeping standards.

– Foster a culture of quality, innovation, and continuous improvement.

– Oversee and enforce site security policies.

Health & Safety Responsibilities

– Train employees on safe practices and maintain training records.

– Investigate accidents and near-miss incidents, taking corrective actions.

– Conduct workplace safety tours and assessments.

– Ensure equipment safety and compliance.

– Lead weekly Health & Safety/HACCP meetings.

– Enforce PPE and cleanliness policies.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications (Essential):

– Proven experience in a similar role leading a team in warehousing or logistics.

– Strong track record in managing high-volume, service-driven warehouse operations.

– Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging at all levels internally and externally.

– Proficiency in PC applications, including spreadsheets and presentations.

– Knowledge of logistics and warehouse operations, including BRC requirements.

– IOSH Managing Safety qualification.

– Enthusiasm, drive, and leadership qualities
