Job Description

Role: Health & Safety Officer

Location: Leicester

Salary: £Neg dependent upon experience

Inizio Engage are working closely with a client who is seeking a Health & Safety Office for their SME Manufacturing business in Leicester. This position is a key role to the business and requires NEBOSH or IOSH qualification of the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop, implement and manage all health and safety policies and procedures

* Conduct risk assessments, safety audits and site inspections to identify and mitigate hazards

* Preventative measures regarding accidents and investigations

* Health and Safety compliance and regulations are met to industry standards

* Liaise with regulatory bodies on all health and safety matters

* Lead safety training programs and workshops

* Investigate accidents, incidents, preparing reports and recommendations of corrective actions

* Employee wellbeing, working closely with the HR Team

* Collaborate with senior management, promoting the importance of health and safety

Skills Required:

The successful candidate must have NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent certification

* A good understanding of occupational health, COSSH, WEEE Regs and DSEAR

* Experience of working within Health and Safety in a Manufacturing environment

* Strong understanding of all health and safety regulations

* Attention to detail, proactive approach, leadership ability

* Problem solving skills and a confident manner to be able to liaise with people at all levels

* Good PC Skills

* Hours of Work are Monday to Friday 7am to 3.30pm
