Job Description

Community Occupational Therapist OT

Location: East Sussex (Hasting & Eastbourne)

Pay rate: up to £30ph + mileage paid at 35p per mile

Hours: Monday – Friday

Shift pattern: (8 am- 4 pm) or (1 pm – 8 pm)

Job type: Contract/Temporary 3-month/ongoing (possibly leading to permanent)

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist OT with community experience for work in the East Sussex, Hasting, and Eastbourne areas. The role would be to carry out assessments on adult patients discharged from the hospital back into the community/home to determine risk and eligibility for services.

You will manage a caseload including customers with high priority or urgent needs requiring specialist assessments, undertake to move and handle risk assessments, advise on adaptive and compensatory techniques involving carers and family when appropriate, and complete follow-up assessments.

You must have a full driving license and own transport as this role would involve visiting patients at home in the community (Hastings & Eastbourne) area.

* Occupational Therapist with 12 months experience (Adults)

* Community experience

* Manual Handling Assessments

* Major adaptations

* Single-handed care reviews

* Right to work (UK Citizen or Indefinite Leave to remain)

* Able to provide two clinical references.

* Full UK Driving Licence & own transportation.

* HCPC Regitration
