This position is ideal for an ambitious individual with a formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering, such as an NVQ Level 3 or an apprenticeship, who thrives in a fast-paced, quality-focused setting. Candidates with a strong background in CNC machining, programming, and interpreting engineering drawings will excel, especially those eager to share knowledge and support colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC machine tools to produce large components with precision and quality.
Write and amend CNC programs using Fanuc and Heidenhain controls.
Perform manual milling and turning as needed.
Adhere to health and safety standards while maintaining a clean and organised workspace.
Collaborate with colleagues and provide training when required.
Work across three shifts (early, late, and night) and support additional hours to meet business demands.
