Are you an skilled Automotive Engineer with expertise in Passive Safety and seeking your next opportunity to grow your career? ASL Technical are working with a leading automotive manufacturer based in Bedfordshire as they grow their research and development department.
Main Purpose of Passive Safety Engineer
To be responsible for automotive crash passive safety performance.
Participate in performance planning, test planning and analysis of CAE and physical test results.
To liaise between local and global other related departments at all stages of the vehicle development process.
Attend regular projecting meetings and feeding back key information to the department.
Attend physical crash test sites within Europe for varying lengths of time (2 weeks – 2 months).
Experience / Knowledge for the Passive Safety Engineer
Minimum Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or Physics related field
Previous experience in Automotive Passive Safety testing or restraint system development
Understanding of vehicle passive safety design concepts
Experience of interpreting, executing and analyzing a variety of Regulation and consumer based passive safety crash tests
Familiar with automotive simulation and analysis tools, such as Animator, Diadem, TrackReport
Ability to travel within Europe
Valid UK/European driving license is essential
