Commercial Insurance Account Handler

Due to continued growth and an expanding product portfolio , Optis is currently recruiting for a number of permanent full-time positions to work in our fast-paced Account Handling team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing an existing book of commercial insurance business for a portfolio of retail brokers, ensuring excellent service, in collaboration with your Account Executive.
Key responsibilities
Close co-operation with Account Executives, Underwriters, and approved vendors to deliver a best-in-class client experience.
Processing new business placements, mid-term adjustments and renewals for a book of commercial insurance policies.
Liaising and negotiating with internal and external Underwriters to secure best placement terms.
Preparation of relevant policy documentation, ensuring accurate and timely provision to clients.
Building relationships with brokers to deliver excellent service, providing advice in relation to the scope of cover and policy terms and conditions as appropriate.
Achieving and exceeding individual QA and compliance targets.
Accurate entry of policy and financial data into internal software platforms.
Ensuring compliance with group and regulatory requirements and protocols.
Essential Criteria
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent prioritization skills, with ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
IT proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office, with ability to learn new software platforms quickly.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Professional and confident email and telephone manner.
Self-motivated, hard-working individual with ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team.
Ability to work under pressure with flexibility where required in support of team objectives and projects.
Ambitious individual who is energetic in their approach to their work.
Desirable Criteria
APA/CIP qualification held or working towards.
Previous experience in insurance or financial services industry a distinct advantage.
Knowledge of the London Market placement process.
