Job Description

Purpose of Post:

Responsible for the receiving, storing, kiting, assembly and manufacture of detailed and major parts for the production assembly line. Ensuring all parts handled, supplied, assembled and fitted is in accordance with the customer specification and Wrightbus quality standards. Responsible for undertaking any other duties associated with the post.

Key Tasks

* Responsible for the compliance with the company’s health and safety policy and procedures ensuring the warehouse & workshop policies are being adhered to.

* Responsible for the safe operation of plant equipment and or hand tools associated with the manufacture or fitting process.

* Responsible for all aspects of the storage & assembly function within Logistics, including;

1. Receiving and inspecting goods into stock

2. Handling goods with care

3. Putting goods in correct bin locations within store

4. Picking and packing goods using appropriate materials

5. Providing high level of service to internal customers (mainly production)

6. Ensuring on time delivery of kitted material to production areas

* Responsible for the fabrication of complex parts. Also assemblies related to the overall manufacturing process. Be able to interpret complex parts and assembly drawings. Be capable of following verbal instructions. Have the ability to move between several distinct operations whilst maintaining high quality workmanship and overall efficiency.

* Responsible for the assembly of metal, wood, laminate and fibreglass components. In accordance with WMP specification.

* To ensure that work carried out by them is to the Wrightbus agreed quality standard and ensure that all such quality sign offs and procedures are complied with.

* Ensuring Warehouse procedures and processes are adhered to

* Accurate kitting and issuing of parts to material storage location and shop floor with a high level of presentation.

* Transportation of material to the lines in a safe manner to ensure it arrives on time and the parts are not damaged.

* To participate actively in stocktakes & continuous improvement teams.

* Must be prepared to work overtime when requested by management

* Carryout duties in accordance with the equal opportunity policy.

* Undertake any training or retraining associated with the post, or introduction of new working practices or engineering changes.

Job Experience

* Previous experience of Materials handling & control in a fast-paced Warehouse Environment

* Experience of Goods Inwards, Cycle Counting, Kitting and Works Order issuing, or a busy assembly line.

Specialist Knowledge / Skills

* Experience in using scanners.

* Disposition

* Good interpersonal skills.

* Determined individual

* Positive attitude

* Literate in English
