Senior Train Service Manager

Join their Service Delivery Team at the Rail Operating Centre (ROC) in York as a Senior Train Service Manager. Overseeing 24/7 train service delivery, you'll collaborate with stakeholders, ensuring seamless operations and top-notch service quality. With your leadership and strategic problem-solving skills, you'll drive excellence in service delivery, manage safety incidents, and lead performance investigations. If you thrive under pressure and are passionate about delivering exceptional service, this role is your chance to shine.

Responsibilities include:

Supporting the Duty Service Delivery Manager (DSDM) in leading the service delivery team.
Directing and coordinating Service Delivery activities to optimise train performance.
Managing safety incidents and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Coordinating short-term service changes during disruptions.
Leading real-time performance investigations to minimise service disruption.
Managing information and ensuring resource availability for business needs.
Maintaining business resilience through training and competency accreditation.To excel in this role, you'll need:

Demonstrate railway operations experience.
Knowledge of operational industry documents and safety regulations.
Familiarity with fleet and service requirements.
Effective leadership, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and implement contingency plans.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and preferably Railway IT Systems.
Experience in incident management and stakeholder negotiation.
Ability to handle sensitive operational and security information.Shift patterns for this rostered management position include:

Early: 06:15 – 14:30
Late: 13:45 - 22:00
Night: 21:15 - 06:50
