Job Description

PE Global is recruiting a scientific administrator for our food manufacturing client based in Reading. The role is an initial 6-month contract.

Responsibilities of the role:

• Ensure samples are logged into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) in an accurate and timely manner.
• Ensure the efficient throughput of samples in CSA from receipt to laboratory.
• Sub-sample multi-lab project samples, strictly adhering to all requirements of QSOP-149.
• Liaise with customers to ensure correct information is available.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by acting as an interface with customers and deliver excellent customer service.
• Ensure consistency, technical precision and compliance with methods of work and look to identify improvements.
• Work as part of the CSA team to high standards of safety and quality.
• Collaborate with Operational Teams to ensure customer requirements are met in a timely manner.
• Able to work under pressure and adapt to meet an ever changing customer environment.
• Work to the highest standards of safety and quality by ensuring that appropriate COSHHs, risk assessments and SOPs are understood and followed.
• Complete assigned quality actions on a timely manner
• Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
• Understand and work to the requirements of GMP and UKAS or Home Office regulations as required.
• Ensure training records are up to date and accurate.

Requirements:
• Educated to A-level / HNC level (or equivalent) and / or have appropriate industry experience to be able to fulfil role requirements.
• Flexible and adaptable to meet customer/business requirements. Well organised and capable of working on multiple activities concurrently. Meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent inter-personal skills, with the ability to interact effectively by with customers and colleagues by telephone, written communication and face-to-face.
