Role: Machine Operator

Rate of pay: £11.51 per hour

Location: Wakefield, WF2

Hours of work: 12 hour shifts, 4 on 4 off (2 days, 2 nights)

Job Description:

First Choice are recruiting on behalf of our client, an international manufacturer of aluminum beverage containers. This role is based in our client’s high-capacity facility on Wakefield’s junction 41 trading estate.

The role requires the ability to operate production line machines, assist with quality checking of finished product and carrying out periodic testing.

Ideally candidates will have experience working in a similar role, have a keen eye for detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Duties will include, but not limited to:

* Operate production machines

* Quality checking finished product

* Testing products for faults/defects

* Reporting faults to the quality team

* Ensuring machine downtime is kept to a minimum

* Reporting machine faults to engineering & completing shift logs

* General warehouse duties, including housekeeping
