Procurement Manager - BRAND NEW ROLE
Near Stockport - hybrid working
£65k salary plus excellent benefits
We are recruiting for a rapidly expanding business who due to growth, are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.
This brand-new role, created due to growth, offers a unique opportunity to shape and lead procurement strategy from the ground up enabling you to be able to come in and put your own stamp on the role, whilst adding a lot of value!
Overview of the role
Supplier Management: Oversee and streamline relationships with approximately 160 suppliers, including landscapers, security, and waste management. Implement a consistent procurement framework across the business.
Collaboration: Work closely with department heads across the business to understand supply needs and ensure alignment.
Supplier Vetting & Evaluation: Lead the supplier vetting process, develop SLAs and KPIs, and ensure suppliers meet performance standards.
Tendering & Strategy Development: Initiate tenders, develop and lead procurement strategies, and look for cost efficiencies.
Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to drive value and reliability.
Requirements
Ideal experience
* Previous procurement experience ideally gained from a property/real estate/facilities management background.
* Experience of procuring hard/soft services
* Experience in drafting service specifications
* Ideally a procurement qualification
* Excellent communication skills
* Strong negotiator and proactive
