General Assistant- Enhanced /Basic DBS required in Liverpool - CV-Library

We're looking for a talented General Assistant to work for our client.

They want to recruit someone with demonstrable background of previous experience in the field.

The Role:
As the General Assistant you'll report to the head of kitchen and will be primarily responsible for work in a team and work well under pressure and in new environments on a daily basis.

In the job you'll be tasked with the following:

-Assisting with basic food preparation activities, including washing, peeling and cutting vegetables
-Cleaning and sanitising all tableware and chafing dishes before catering events, clean kitchens and service work areas
- Ensuring stock levels are maintained to the required levels and organised as per production schedule
- Working under time pressures to ensure that your workload is completed on time for ensuring that customers' needs are met and that they are satisfied. Your workload will differ day to day and you will be expected to communicate and seek support when required. Your challenge will be to anticipate when that will be

The standard working hours for this position are 8 hours shifts.

The Candidate:
The ideal candidate for this General Assistant role will have relevant background of previous experience in the field.

You'll also need experience of the ability to work calmly under pressure as well as good literacy skills, verbal written and spoken.

In addition, you'll need the following:
- An excellent communication, team work and customer service skills
- An experience minimum of 1 years' in catering (desirable)
- A flexible attitude and a team player

The ideal person for the role will be the following:
- Preparations of various types of cookery
- Able to work as part of a team
-Effective organisational skills

The Package:
Basic salary: Up to £11.44 per hour
