NETWORK ENGINEER - CONTRACT
Rate: £350 per day (Inside IR35)
Length: Contract until March 2026
Location: Remote with ad-hoc travel to Bridgend, Wales
Role Overview
Concept IT are currently seeking a skilled Cloud Network Engineer to provide technical development and design solutions for various high-impact projects. You will play a critical role in enhancing the performance and security of enterprise infrastructure, supporting the organisation's objectives through expertise in legacy systems and modern technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Development & Design: Deliver tailored solutions for designated technical projects, ensuring enterprise infrastructure meets high-performance and security standards.
Project Delivery:
Plan, organise, and control deliverables for Cloud projects.
Implement security and perimeter concepts, including architecture integration, alerting, and reporting.
Take responsibility for all aspects of Cloud project implementation (e.g., installation, configuration, tuning, capacity planning, and problem resolution).
Manage change processes, including testing, upgrades, and commissioning.
Specialist Support: Provide expert advice on complex issues, leveraging in-depth knowledge of enterprise perimeter technologies and Sophos firewalls.
Documentation: Develop and maintain up-to-date technical documentation and instruction guides.
Stakeholder Engagement: Provide support and education to stakeholders and ensure practices align with South Wales Police policies.
Performance Monitoring: Track technical performance, prepare regular system reports, and ensure compliance with relevant standards and policies.
Essential Skills & Experience
Demonstrated expertise in Cloud and Network project development and implementation.
Proficiency in installing, configuring, and maintaining Sophos firewalls and associated hardware.
Strong knowledge of enterprise perimeter monitoring and security concepts.
Experience with legacy systems and cutting-edge technologies.
Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, adhering to quality and performance standards.
Flexibility to work outside standard hours as needed (maximum of 37 paid hours per week).
Valid transport for travel between sites if required
