Job Description

Food & Beverage Assistant  - required for our brand-new luxury care home ‘Selwood House’ in Charlton Down, Dorchester, Dorset, Part of the Country Court Family.

Hours: 30 or 40 hours per week available, working weekends on rota (Shift times 08:00- 18:30)

Selwood House Care Home located in Charlton Down near Dorchester accommodates up to 84 residents, and is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to cater for various care needs. Specialising in residential care, dementia care, and short-term respite care, Selwood House will provide a warm welcome as soon as you set foot through the door.

ABOUT THE FOOD & BEVERAGE ROLE:
Within your role as a Food & Beverage Assistant, you can really make a difference to our residents’ lives. Some of your responsibilities will include:

Serving residents their meals, snacks & beverages

Replenish all snack stations

Clean up after all meals

Re-lay tables & cloths

Cleaning the dining/kitchen areas

ABOUT YOU:

Excellent Customer service skills

Experience as a Food & Beverage Assistant or similar role 

Good knowledge & experience in the food/restaurant Industry

Knowledge of COSHH & health & safety standards

Have a friendly & caring attitude

Able to engage well with the residents and their families

Understanding of people with Dementia

Able to work independently & as a team
