Job Title: Medical Secretary
Location: Warneford Hospital, OX3 7JX
Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday
Trust Location: Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust
Role type: Temporary for 6 months with possibility of extension
What you'll be responsible for:
Support a consultant with their diary in conjunction with the overall team diary and ensuring that all appointments are appropriately prepared for and electronically captured.
Provide clerical support in the compilation and sending of medical reports, clinical letters and correspondence using system set pro-formas and from digital dictation.
Audio typing dutiesAnswer the AMHT's main telephone line as required; processing enquiries if able, signposting where appropriate, and taking messages when indicated in professionally manner.
Maintain rotas and lists for required Mental Health Act actions for the AMHT as required
This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience.
You'll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
You'll have the following skills/experience:
NHS experience (highly desirable)
Audio typing experience (essential)
Proven track record within administrative roles
Polite and friendly telephone manner
Enthusiastic, confident approach to change, calm and reliable under pressure
