We have a brand new, fabulous opportunity for a service driven and commercially focused, travel industry professional to join a luxury travel brand as they continue to grow their team.
Joining our client as an Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks including liaising with DMCs, ground agents and local guides, builiding and mainting strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts with hotels, transport providers, and ground operators and ensuring all operations adhere to relevant health and safety regulations, industry standards.
The role is primarily office-based; however, there will be overseas travel, when appropriate, to oversee tour operations and assist the Tour Management team as required, so a willingness to do this is essential.

Role of Operations Manager:
* Collaborate with DMCs, local guides, and ground agents to design memorable off-train experiences for high-net worth clients, ensuring that they are unique and authentically reflect the culture and history of each destination.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with rail companies, luxury hotels, ground agents, and other key suppliers.
* Ensure that all partnerships uphold the brand's high standards of service and deliver value to clients.
* Negotiate contracts with hotels, transport providers, and ground operators, ensuring competitive rates without compromising on quality.
* Monitor and manage agreements to ensure compliance with our contractual terms and service delivery.
* Ensure all operations adhere to relevant health and safety regulations, industry standards, and internal policies to lessen legal and regulatory risks.
* Coordinate logistics for off-train activities and excursions, including transport, guides, and any special client requests.
* Develop and finalise a detailed Operations Voucher for each tour you manage, outlining the entire operation of the tour, for the Tour Management team to execute.
* Carry out detailed handover meeting with Tour Leader at least 72 hours ahead of tour departure.
* Complete post-tour reconciliation of final invoices and deliver tour debrief to all key internal stakeholders.
Skills required for the role:
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the travel sector (tour ops or agency), ideally with a focus on delivering luxury services.
* A strong understanding of the luxury travel market is desirable, with knowledge of global destinations, high-end hospitality, and exclusive client services.
* A thorough knowledge of health and safety regulations, GDPR and Package Travel Regulations.
* Fluency in English is essential; additional languages such as Spanish, Mandarin, German or French would be an advantage.
* High level of attention to detail.
* Proven ability to negotiate contracts and manage relationships.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with internal teams, external partners, and high-end clientele.
* Superior project management skills with the ability to handle complex logistics, multi-country journeys, and deliver exceptional results under pressure.
* Proactive problem-solving abilities with a strong focus on client satisfaction and operational efficiency.
