Job Description

A well-established international retail design agency are looking for a Development Designer to join their team!

An exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team that creates branded displays, shop-in-shop interiors, exhibition spaces, and display accessories.

Job Role:

-Collaborate closely with project managers and manufacturers to design robust, cost-effective solutions while maintaining a sharp attention to detail.

-Play a key role in transforming concepts into reality by taking briefs from the creative team and developing these ideas primarily using SolidWorks for prototypes and production.

-Utilise your understanding of 3D CAD models and detailed drawings to create manufacturing-ready designs, complete with Bill of Materials (BOM) breakdowns.

-Explore innovative prototype initiatives and test new market concepts to push design boundaries.

-Maintain regular communication with selected suppliers to ensure we stay at the forefront of advancements in materials and technology.

Requirements:

-A minimum of 2 years of experience in the retail design industry.

-Proficient in SolidWorks, 3D modelling, and 2D drawing creation and experience in AutoCAD would be advantageous.

-Knowledgeable about various materials and manufacturing processes with specific experience working with materials such as glass, metal and acrylic fabrication.

-Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

-Excellent comprehension skills to understand design standards and guidance from store and brand owners.
