About the Property
Main Building
37 bed luxury hospitality driven residential nursing care set within a Grade II listed building in 16 acres of landscaped grounds catering to residential nursing care, memory care, respite and rehab/recovery.
20 bed luxury hospitality driven post operative rehabilitation set 16 acres of landscaped grounds. Set over two floors, the property will provide residential and day patient rehabilitation as well as “drop in” fitness programmes.

Scope
Loveday & Co. offers care services in both traditional care homes and specialised rehabilitation facilities. The Sous Chef is second-in-command to the Head Chef in the Loveday kitchen. They are responsible for food production and assume the role of Head Chef in their absence. An important role in the kitchen, the Sous Chef is responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of food preparation and working practices. The Sous Chef ensures that the members’ dining experience is served to the highest possible standard. The Sous Chef takes on the responsibility for the personal development of the Chef de Partie.

Scope for progression and promotion within the company as we grow from one Care Home to the development and subsequent opening of four new homes in London.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
*
Support the Head Chef, Sous Chef, Chef de Partie, and any other catering staff to manage and deliver all catering services throughout the home, ensuring that member choice, dignity, confidentiality and safety are maintained.
*
Prepare nutritional food and beverages to a high standard, as directed by the Head Chef, promptly and in accordance with agreed mealtimes.
*
Maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen and food storage areas at all times in accordance with the appropriate food hygiene regulations.
*
Prepare special diet meals as needed and as directed by the Head Chef.
*
Provide feedback to the Chef on complaints from members or others on the functioning of the Catering Department.
*
Address complaints promptly where possible and report them to the Head Chef.
*
Support cost-effective stock control systems to minimise waste and ensure these are in place.
*
Participate in events held in the homes.
*
Attend initial and update mandatory training as required.
*
Actively engage in personal professional supervision including quarterly one-to-one meetings and a yearly performance review, ensuring personal professional knowledge and competency is maintained.
*
Work flexibly within contracted hours to ensure resources are used efficiently.
*
Carrying out any other task which may be reasonably assigned to you.
Eligibility
In line with the requirements of the Asylum & Immigration Act 1996, all applicants must either be eligible to live and work in the UK or must obtain permits to work in the UK prior to application. Documented evidence of eligibility will be required from candidates as part of the recruitment process.
