Job Description

CNC Service Engineer (Frequent travel to customer sites required)

Are you an experienced Service Engineer with a strong background in the machine tool industry? Would you like to work in a very well-established manufacturing company who are market leaders? If so, this may be the opportunity for you.

Responsibilities of the Service Engineer are as follows:

* Servicing and maintaining our ranges of Machine Tool products.

* Attending faults, diagnosing problems, and rectifying machines, replacing parts, as necessary.

* Liaising with Technical support, Service Management and Customer Services.

* Undertaking planned maintenance of machines.

* Identifying parts required and order via Service/Spares department

* Explaining machine faults, findings and repairs undertaken to customers.

* Good understanding of the needs of our customers

* Providing great customer service and achieving high customer satisfaction/ feedback

* Identifying sales opportunities and passing these onto the Sales department

Experience required for the Service Engineer:

* Mechanical engineering apprentice trained. Manufacturing engineering / Machine Tool background

* Minimum of 5 years’ Service Engineer, Machine Tool experience

* Basic electrical knowledge

* Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems

* Good understanding of the needs of our customers

* IT literate

* Up to date industry knowledge and working with H&S legislation

* Able to work on own initiative, with minimal supervision, and provide our customers with the highest levels of service possible

* Good communication skills

* Flexible attitude to hours of work

* Able and willingness to work and stay away from home

* All tasks completed correctly and on time including all required paperwork

* Team player, including working alongside junior engineering technicians at times and on certain jobs as part of their training.

* Remain calm and professional at all times.

* Always promote a positive and professional Company image

* Full, valid driving licence
