Job Description
Lead Veterinary Surgeon – Bradford. £50k-£55k per annum
Kindness, openness, and support –three things that this practice has in abundance, and they are recruiting.
If you are stuck in a rut, thinking about your future, and looking for a new supportive home where you can develop look no further than here. Regular CPD is offered and encouraged, whilst certificates are fully supported.
Based in Bradford this progressive independent with an experienced team of veterinary professionals, offers clinical freedom, autonomy, and a place to develop and grow.
It is no secret that being a vet is hard work. You’re a vet, you know. The more cases you work on, the more adept you get. Developing through experience. But it can be long and demanding hours, that can offer little work-life balance.
At this practice, they do not believe in working their vets ‘into the ground,’ that’s why they have scheduled breaks throughout the day with flexible consult times to allow you to build relationships and give the best possible care you can to each patient.
Being a confident experienced lead vet with an expanding practice and a strong loyal client base that’s growing weekly, you will be involved right from the start. There is plenty of variety here, rewarding work with clinic freedom and lots of interesting cases on offer which you will see through from the start.
Reassuringly they have an experienced team of nurses who you can rely on at all times. They also have close links to a local cat rescue charity presenting you with some challenging, rewarding and interesting cases.
If you are ambitious and want to be part of their success, potential partnership opportunities are on offer here for the right person.
The beauty of an independent, is you aren’t micro-managed, they are not in the cross hairs of corporate life, there are no silly targets for vets, and being sole charge for most of the time no one telling you what to do from afar the job is tough enough without adding additional stress!
The rota’s fair and sensible: 40 hours over 4 days, with 1:3 Sat mornings 9am-12pm and No OOH’s.
Based in Bradford the City of Culture 2025 you have all the amenities you can ask for within walking distance of the practice, shopping, bars, restaurants, and some of the best curry houses in the UK. Conveniently located for the North York Moors and with the cities of Leeds, York, and Harrogate all less than an hour away what’s not to like?
So, what’s next?
