Technical Manager 

Paying up to £40,000 DOE

Location - Northampton

Hours - Monday-Thursday 7:30AM - 4:30PM Finish at 12:30PM on Fridays

Reporting to the Product Development and Operations Manager , and working closely with the other managers, you will support factory production and collaborate on new developments.

In this role, you will:

. Using the CAD system using Shoemaster software, develop new or update existing patterns.

. Create and revise technical specifications and work tickets.

. Work with the production team to engineer new styles including development of components, best production routines, etc.

. Work on continuous improvement across the factory with a detailed action plan including formalisation of new methods, creation / updating of quality standards and control of implementation of technical changes.

. Support the Sales Director on the build of new ranges for seasonal collections or customers’ own collections.

. Provide technical expertise and guidance of footwear development with key retail partners and Distributors.

. Implement an improved system for maintaining and updating the product library.

The right candidate will have a previous experience on CAD systems and ideally knowledge of the shoe industry and grading.
