Job Title: Commissioning Officer Adult Supported Living
Contract Length: 12-month initial interim contract

Pay rate: £400 per day (negotiable)

I am currently working with a Midlands based local authority in their search for an experienced commissioning professional for 12-month interim contract to join their Commissioning team to support with their adult care supported living agenda.

PLEASE NOTE: to be eligible for this position you must have past commissioning experience within a local authority setting.
Your duties as a Commissioner:
Support the Senior Commissioner Manager and work with the Head of Commissioning on the operational commissioning management of the councils supported living agenda.
Work with internal and external providers on ways to improve supported living services for people with disabilities, including learning disabilities, people with neurodivergences and those with physical disabilities and mental health conditions.
You will contribute to the council ensuring social care solutions are available for all residents, implementing plans to improve quality and outcomes, whilst also achieving value for money and ensure best use of resources.
You will build positive relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, leading on operational co-productions and identify gaps in local provision, challenging providers where necessary to ensure quality service provision.
Experience needed as a Commissioner:
Previous experience of adult social care experience within a local authority setting.
Past experience on leading on contract management and commissioning for supported living services.
Excellent communication skills as this role would require significant engagement with other local authorities, providers and leaders.
Be highly resilient.
