Are you an experienced, compassionate doctor looking for a rewarding role in mental health care? We’re seeking a Specialty Doctor to join our well-established, multi-disciplinary team located in the stunning location in Blackburn. What You’ll Be Doing:
* Patient Care: Work alongside the Consultant Psychiatrist to provide medical cover and care for up to 28 patients on the ward.
* Assessments & Diagnosis: Conduct thorough mental and physical health assessments, diagnose, and provide treatment under Consultant supervision.
* Therapeutic Environment: Take clinical responsibility for patients, participate in ward rounds, risk reviews, and contribute to the development of a therapeutic care environment.
* Ongoing Development: Maintain and enhance your skills through CPD, clinical supervision, and opportunities for professional growth.
What We’re Looking For:
* Essential:
* Full GMC registration and 12 months’ adult psychiatry experience.
* Experience in a similar setting (preferred).
* Excellent knowledge of the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act.
* Ability to assess, treat, and write clear, comprehensive medical notes.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Desirable:
* Section 12 approval and membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists or equivalent.
