Job Description:
We are seeking skilled and reliable Assembly and Fabrication Operatives to join our team for a minimum of 2 months project in Kendal, Cumbria. This role involves the assembly and fabrication of high-quality components, ensuring precision and adherence to exacting standards.
Responsibilities:
Material Handling:
- Manual handling of aluminium housings and copper/aluminium busbars of varying mass.
Material Preparation:
- Preparation of assembly materials using tools such as Stanley knives and scissors.
Light Hand Machining:
- Performing tasks such as grinding and finishing.
Coating Preparation:
- Masking housings and busbars before powder coating.
Tool Use:
- Utilizing hand tools including de-burring tools, spanners, sockets, screwdrivers, rivet guns, and inserting machines.
Product Assembly:
- Assembling busbar trunking to exacting standards.
Packaging:
- Preparing products for dispatch with care and attention to detail.
Generic Duties:
- Perform additional administrative or operational tasks as requested by the Heads of Department.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and reasonable directives at all times.
- Carry out any other tasks necessary to contribute to the company’s success and profitability.
Requirements:
- Experience in a similar role involving assembly and fabrication.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and performing light machining tasks.
- Ability to follow precise instructions and meet high-quality standards.
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling.
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work to deadlines.
