Income Recovery Officer (£33,874 per annum, full-time, permanent)
Job Role
The Income Team are seeking an Income Recovery Officer responsible for managing rent accounts, taking early intervention in arrears cases and helping to reduce debt and sustain tenancies.
You’ll need to have excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as lots of compassion. You’ll have some knowledge of welfare benefits and be able to work in partnership with external agencies such as local authorities and the DWP to get the right help for residents who are struggling to pay their rent.
Good levels of numeracy and literacy are key, as is an interest in income recovery and housing law.
Although it is always the last option, you’ll need to either have experience with, or be willing to learn, the court process for arrears.
The successful candidate will also need a clean driving licence and use of a car.
