Class 2 HGV Driver in Manchester - CV-Library

We have a Class 2 HGV Driver role for our client based in Gorton. This role could become a permanent job for the right candidate.

Nights out are essential in this role from Monday to Thursday. Please do not apply for this Class 2 HGV Driver role if you can’t commit to regular nights out. A tax-free allowance of £25 per night will be paid for nights out expenses.

Successful Class 2 HGV Driver will be delivering beers to bars and pubs along the North East coast. There will be some lifting and handball involved so Class 2 HGV Driver will be required to be physically fit.

Class 2 HGV Driver will need:

* Cat-C Licence

* Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card

* No more than 6 points (No DD's, DR's, IN's, TT's)

* Experience with ratchet straps

* Experience in multi-drop environment

* Excellent customer service skills and good literacy

* Full UK Driving licence, Class 2 HGV Driver entitlement held for 1 year minimum

* Able to work to tight deadlines

PLEASE NOTE, WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CONSIDER APPLICATIONS FROM ANYBODY WHO HAS NO EXPERIENCE OF DRIVING THIS CLASS OF VEHICLE.

HGV Class 2 HGV Driver Duties will include:

* Driving company vehicle responsibly and safely, obeying all traffic laws

* Carrying out required daily vehicle checks to ensure procedural compliance

* Maintaining regular contact with Branch Managers on daily progress

* Completing paperwork accurately as instructed

* Dealing with customers face to face in a polite and courteous manner

* Nights out

We offer a true, honest, and personal service and you will deal directly with the business owner. Plus, attractive minimum rate of pay of £14 per hour (£15.70 per hour inclusive of holiday) pay, overtime rate of £18.20 (£20.15 per hour inclusive of holiday pay) after 8 hours worked, paid weekly via PAYE. As well as a £25 per night out allowance paid for expenses.
