£85 – £100 per day (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)

The role
Vision for Education is currently recruiting a Behaviour Support Worker to join a Primary school in Leeds (LS23) to start on a Full-Time basis. Working in this Primary school as part of an established team, the desired Behaviour Support Worker will be working on a small group or 1:1 basis in supporting pupils with SEMH needs. The desired candidate will need to have had significant experience supporting with children with SEMH needs and a real desire to do the role. You will support pupils in class as well as implement individual behaviour plans (SEMH plans) set by the SENCO and fellow members of the pastoral team. You will primarily be working across KS1 and KS2.
This school has a ‘outstanding’ Ofsted rating and is a one-form school. It is at the heart of the community with inclusivity at the centre of everything they do.

The desired Behaviour Support Worker will:
Be a role model to all
Be able to de-escalate challenging situations
Be proactive and support the engagement of pupils
Be confident to deliver activities 1 to 1 and a small group basis
Have a DBS on the Update Service
