One of the UK’s leading providers of community healthcare has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Optometrist to work on a part-time basis. You will work up to two days a week between Monday – Friday on a 9-5 basis.

The successful candidate will work alongside a wider clinical team to provide the safe, effective, efficient delivery of clinical care. You will have the ability to promote patient centric care, with a focus on providing independent eyecare, as well as making assessments on the need for cataract surgery.

Qualifications

* GOC registered Optometrist

* At least 12 months post-registration experience

Skills

* Able to assess and counsel patients for cataract surgery, including discussing expected outcomes

* Able to understand the risks and benefits of surgery with a considerate manner, whilst reflecting the patients’ needs

* Confident to undertake YAG laser with training

* Motivated to develop with a keen interest in the clinical side of optometry

* Good communication and interpersonal skills

* Strong organisation skills and attention to detail

* Understanding of clinical governance and ability to provide the highest quality of care to all patients

* Sound written and verbal communication skills
