Job Description

We are looking to speak to experienced Solicitors with 1 yr + PQE experience in Edinburgh, to join an established Personal Injury firm within their Industrial Disease team. Ideally, you will have experience dealing with a variety of cases in this sector, working as part of a team to ensure the best outcomes for clients daily. You will be looking to join a supportive, successful team and develop your skills within this sector daily.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly respected and well-known firm in the City!

This is a full-time permanent role working core business hours Monday - Friday, following a hybrid working model. The salary for this role is dependent on experience.

Are you who we are looking for?

You are a qualified solicitor (1yr+ PQE) with experience in Personal Injury, Litigation or specifically Disease sectors
You can manage a high volume of work daily
You are a confident communicator, both written and orally who is able to build key relationships with clients and internal / external stakeholders
You can work well individually and within a wider team environment
You are proficient in the use of Microsoft Packages and Legal Software
You can manage your time and diary effectively to complete tasks
You are professional, proactive and empathetic

What is the day to day like?

Working collaboratively within a wider team daily, assisting with pre-litigation and litigation cases
Gaining hands-on experience in Court across a variety of cases
Mentoring Trainees within the business when required, providing mentor ship and guidance
Liaising with medial professionals, seeking expert advice and knowledge
Conducting investigations and gathering information including witness statements
Drafting legal documentation daily, working closely with Paralegals and the Support team daily as well as meeting key deadlines
Ensuring personal knowledge is kept up to date with regards to legislation changes and policies
Utilising a variety of software daily
Adapting and managing an ever-changing workload
