Job Description
As HSE Officer you will audit and implement the management of the company health, safety and environmental processes for a specialist in no-dig engineering services, pipeline investigation and repair in the utility sector. Due to major contract awards in Ireland with sites predominantly in the Greater Dublin area and surrounding counties, they are looking to add an HSE Officer to the team who will work in conjunction with the HSE Manager to ensure a safe and clean working environment is maintained.
If you are a self-starter with a technical background and an interest in developing your career in Health and Safety, then this could your next move. You will also need strong people skills with the ability to motivate and empower, to be a strong communicator, and able to take the initiative and function independently. Your new employer is happy to support you in NEBOSH training and develop a full CPD programme in line with the requirements for this role to be successfully undertaken.
As HSE Officer your duties will include but not be limited to the following:

Promote acceptance of sound safety practices and encourage full participation of all company personnel throughout the operations
Work directly and build relationships with Field Management to balance environmental, health & safety requirements with production goals to ensure compliance with safety-related regulations, systems and practices.
Perform random inspections of job sites, facilities, equipment, vehicles, and investigations.
Solve safety related problems on the work site.
Immediately deal with identified problems by giving specific advice for the correction of the problem(s) to the appropriate staff.
Complete onboarding for new hires.
Recommend safety-related programs, activities, recognition for employees
Provide various types of Environmental, Health & Safety training to all levels of employeesTo be considered for this role you will have:
A minimum of 2 years of progressive Health, Safety and Environmental experience.
Experience auditing active sites for health, safety and environmental compliance.
Willingness to travel to sites throughout Ireland (Company vehicle will be provided)
A working knowledge of company drug and alcohol policy.
The ability to work with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance
