HR Officer
Industry: Charity
Location: Newport, Isle of Wight
Hours: 15 hours per week (flexible)
Days: flexible (Monday - Friday)
Duration: immediate start until approx. end March 2025
Duties:
Assist with recruitment administration and onboarding process,
Act as first point of contact for routine HR enquiries and initiatives,
Update and maintain accurate employee information and training records and HR database,
Support the production of reports,
Assist in the review of policies and procedures,
Monitor compliance with health and safety policies and support training.
Experience:
Must have previous experience or working within an HR function with
knowledge of employment law and best practice, CIPD qualifications are preferred.
Must have a positive attitude, a good level of both administrative and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload.
Must have strong communication skills, with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information, in addition to work well on own initiative as well as part of a team.
Must have a good level of computer literacy on MS Office and previous database experience
The successful candidate may be required to undergo a DBS clearance.
Salary: £13.50 per hour ( may be slightly flexible for the right candidate)
