Our offices are in Abingdon, but this Agile Delivery Manager role could be office-based or worked hybrid with regular office days. You should live within reasonable commuting distance of Abingdon.

About the Role

Working across multiple sprint teams, the Agile Delivery Manager will focus on ensuring that each team has the tools, processes, and support to deliver on their commitments.

An excellent communicator, you will also work closely with the Product team and other stakeholders to manage their expectations and keep your teams on the product roadmap. You will provide a strong influence over the practical and behavioural processes used by the Dvelopment team as we build our Agile practice.

Key Tasks

Duties of the Agile Delivery Manager will include:

Scrum master - Facilitating Scrum, sprint, and backlog reviews, sprint planning, retrospectives in several teams, and mentoring the teams on Agile best practices.
Working with the Product team to agree on and maintain a refined Product Backlog.
Work with other delivery managers and the release manager to manage product dependencies, maintain accurate schedules for product releases, and establish and maintain core delivery KPIs.
Review, facilitate, and align Agile ways of working, ceremonies, processes, and practices to ensure effective delivery.
Nurture a trusting and transparent environment whereby problems can be raised with an emphasis on problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Essential Skills

Knowledge and Experience:

3+ years as a Scrum master, ADM, or Agile Coach
Proven background in the Agile Delivery Management of complex software projects
Proven experience in Agile estimation techniques using story pointing, planning poker, etc.
Experienced leader, able to drive or influence outcomes through peer organisation
Experience working with customers, external-facing APIs, and multi-facetted digital products and partners
The desire to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment with a diverse set of responsibilities
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with a global team across multiple time zones

Desirable Skills

Be prepared to work out of usual business hours when required to teleconference with overseas teams, as necessary.
Excellent understanding of Jira, Confluence, and Git; administration experience preferred
