Job Description

Estimator / Senior Estimator - Structural and Architectural Metalwork

Hill & Hill recruitment are actively recruiting for a Kent based manufacturer of structural steelwork, balconies, staircases, metal balustrades, railings, glass systems.

We are currently seeking an experienced estimator/senior estimator to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

* Estimating structural and architectural metalwork by analysing project drawings, specification and tender documents.

* Preparing estimates to meet tight deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy.

* Monitor costs through the project and provide updates to senior management.

* Attend site to undertake initial project and pre-start meetings where required.

* Establish, develop and maintain relationships with existing and new clients.

Knowledge and skill:

* Experience as an estimator/senior estimator within the metalwork industry for a minimum of 3 years.

* Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accurate estimates are issued and risk is reviewed.

* Strong understanding of construction drawings, steelwork specifications and industry standards.

* Proficiency in MS office suite programmes, especially excel.

* Strong background in securing successful project bids including negotiating and value engineering.

* Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.

Offer:

* Full time position - Monday to Friday – 08:00am – 5:00pm.

* £50,000.00-£60,000.00 per year, subject to experience.
