Senior Planning Engineer

Exeter – South West

£55k - £63k + Car Allowance

I’m currently recruiting for a Senior Planning Engineer to work for a large contractor on a permanent basis. Our client are looking for candidates to join their civils teams working on a variety of projects across the South West.

Duties:

* Proactively drive the progress of work on site.

* Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely delivery of key project milestones.

* Monitor project progress and report on critical paths, risks, and opportunities.

* Provide detailed reports to senior management, clients, and stakeholders.

* Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget.

* Support the development of resource and cost-loaded programmes, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.

* Conduct regular reviews of progress against baseline programmes and propose corrective actions as necessary.

The Candidate:

* Experience delivering a planning role for a portfolio of both tender / pre-construction and build stage projects

* Proven experience in planning on major infrastructure projects.

* Tier 1 contract experience.

* Clean UK driving license and happy to travel to different sites

* Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and other relevant software.

* Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and best practices.

* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering solutions.

* Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred

40 Hour weeks
