We are recruiting on behalf of a leading organization based in Liverpool, seeking a talented Engineering Manager to drive their site’s engineering strategy. The Role

As the Engineering Manager, you will report directly to the Site Manager and take full ownership of the engineering strategy and operations for this key manufacturing site. You will lead a skilled engineering team, ensuring that maintenance, reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives align with the company's overall objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement the engineering strategy to support operational goals.

* Lead, mentor, and inspire the engineering team to achieve peak performance.

* Ensure site compliance with all health, safety, and environmental standards.

* Oversee planned and reactive maintenance activities to minimize downtime.

* Identify and execute opportunities for process improvement and cost efficiency.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production and site goals.

* Manage budgets effectively, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

* Proven experience in a senior engineering role, ideally within an FMCG or similar high-paced manufacturing environment.

* A strong technical background with a relevant engineering qualification.

* Exceptional people management and leadership skills.

* A strategic mindset, coupled with the ability to execute plans effectively.

* Knowledge of modern maintenance practices, such as TPM or Lean methodologies.
