About the job you are considering

We are seeking an experienced Functional Consultant specializing in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) with experience within the automotive industry. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring optimal implementation and utilization of MES in automotive manufacturing environments.

Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your Role

Some of your responsibilities will include (not limited to):-

* Analyze current manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement through MES implementation.

* Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders in the automotive manufacturing sector.

* Design and configure MES solutions tailored to automotive production needs.

* Collaborate with technical teams to ensure proper integration of MES with other systems (ERP, PLM, etc.).

* Develop and maintain functional specifications for MES modules and customizations.

* Conduct user training sessions and create documentation for MES usage.

* Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for MES-related issues.

* Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in automotive manufacturing and MES.

* Participate in project planning and estimation activities.

* Ensure MES compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Your Skills and Experience

Essential:

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

* Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Functional Consultant in MES implementation, preferably in the automotive industry.

* Strong knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes and industry-specific challenges.

* Expertise in one or more major MES platforms, preferably SAP DM.

* Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.

* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

* Proficiency in project management methodologies.

Nice to have:-

* Master's degree in a relevant field.

* Certifications in MES platforms or project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).

* Experience with Industry 4.0 concepts and technologies.

* Knowledge of quality management systems in automotive manufacturing.

* Familiarity with ISA95 standards.
